A small idea for using this

Let younger children draw or dictate. Invite older children to add a specific detail.

A few things before you print

How does the template help a child write a specific thank-you note?

The “Thank you for…” prompt names what someone did, followed by how it made the child feel. A drawing box adds a personal picture for the recipient.

Can the note be for a teacher, friend or family member?

Yes. The recipient line is blank. Choose someone who helped the child and include a concrete example.

What if the child can only write a little?

Use a short sentence and a drawing, or let the child dictate. The suggested age is 6–8, with support adjusted to writing experience.

How do I print without clipped edges or extra pages?

Match A4 or US Letter in the activity and printer settings. Use portrait orientation and Actual size (100%), and turn off browser headers and footers. Check one preview before printing copies.
